GALACTIC BLAST V B S 2010!!!

Our Galactic Blast was just that…A BLAST!!!

Our Galactic Blast Vacation Bible School 2010 was A BLAST! For Five fun filled days, both cadets and commanders voyaged into outer space praising God. Our Bible readings were about creation, Elijah at Mount Horeb, Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well, Jesus healing a blind beggar, and two travelers meeting with Jesus on Emmaus Road. Through daily missions, guidance from the VBS GPS, and tips from Galileo the Galactic Gorilla, we journeyed through space learning about earth, the moon, stars, comets, supernovas, and easy "green" earth tips to practice at home.

The MAIN message throughout the week: We are God’s special children created in God’s image, and are given new birth through Jesus Christ.

 A BIG THANK YOU to ALL who helped out with audio/visual, sets, decors, music, classes, crafts, food, and more. You are AWESOME!!!

PRAYER REQUEST BOOK

There is a Prayer Request book on the sanctuary bulletin table. If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, please right their name in the book so they can be included in the Prayers of the Church for that Sunday. Pastor Natacha will check for names each week. You can also phone in names to our secretary during the weekdays.

BEARING WITNESS MINISTRIES

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Jesus Christ.

If you know of anyone, family or friend, who could use a Teddy to bring them cheer, a Teddy Log Book is located on the sanctuary bulletin table. Please place their name(s) in the log book to avoid duplication of recipients. Pastor Natacha checks this log book each week so Teddies can be hugged and prayed over during Sunday worship and given to the recipient.

Our next major ‘BEARing Witness’ project is collecting teddies for the Veterans Recognition       Banquet to be held November 7^th, 2010. The God’s Biggest Fans Youth will be making T-shirts featuring each branch of the armed forces. Our goal is to present all veterans at the banquet with a teddy as a way of saying, “We love you”.

Game starts at 7:05pm and FIREWORKS follow the game

Tickets: $6.00 general admission

TAILGATE PARTY: Tailgate party with hot dogs and hamburgers starting at 5:45pm prior to the game at the far west side of the LAWRENCE DUMONT STADIUM PARKING LOT

NOTE: There will not be any bus transportation this year so please arrange your transportation to the game. Parking is convenient to both the tailgate party and stadium entrance.
