CROP HUNGER WALK

CROP Walk is Sunday, October 9. Registration begins at 1:00 and the walk starts at 2:00 at Sedgwick Country Park. Donations are being given to local and world hunger organizations. St. Paul’s Saturday Breakfast is one of the recipients. Please give as generously as you are able for this beneficial fundraiser for the hungry. Jars of peanut butter will also be distributed to the Local food bank.

STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY

Sunday, October 16 is STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY in our congregation. Please
bring your Estimate of Giving Card with you to worship and place it in the offering
plate. Your generosity will be blessed. Matthews 6:21 For where your treasure
is, there your heart will be also.

REFORMATION SUNDAY

REFORMATION SUNDAY is October 30. This is a wonderful festival day in the
church. A day when we celebrate God’s gift of grace through faith in Jesus
Christ. A day of thanksgiving for the great reformers, Luther, Calvin, Wesley,. . .
A day of prayerful reflection on the needs of the church, . . .A day to gather in
praise of God’s goodness to us, His people. Mark your calendar. Wear red. Bring
a friend or two with you.

PASTOR KEEN'S PART-TIME HOURS

As agreed upon with the church council, my days at the church are Tuesday, Thurs-day and Sunday. Currently these days look like this:
Tuesday: 9:00 - Noon -- Area 5 Text Study and Meeting (Some days are longer given discussion and location)
Afternoon - 5:00 -- Church office, visitation
Thursday: 8:00 - 4:30 -- Church office, visitation
Sunday: Worship, scheduled events, visitation
As time progresses and decisions regarding confirmation and home-bound visits are made, I anticipate having a clearer schedule to offer. At this time please know that I will let the church secretary know where I am in the afternoon and the president of the con-gregation if I am needed to be gone in the morning. I am available for scheduled and spontaneous meetings and conversations. When there are emergencies and you desire my presence, please contact me at: 316-655-3306.
As a pastor my primary role is Word and Sacrament ministry. I have also been asked to teach confirmation, visit the homebound, sick, dying and those in crisis/emergency situations. I will also attend and participate in council/congregational meet-ings. Know that I will hold you in my prayers as we journey together in faith and minis-try.
Other Office Hours
The church office secretary will keep the same hours as before. Pam will be here
Monday thru Thursday from 1:00—5:00. You can leave a message on the phone or stop by while Pastor or Pam is here.
