Our Mid-week worship services begin on Ash Wednesday, February 17th, 2010. This year, we are hosting the Cedar Chapel UMC family. Beginning February 24th, soup suppers are at 6pm and worship at 7pm. Please be willing to provide food each week. Good Shepherd has excellent cooks and bakers J! Look for sign up sheets on the bulletin board near the Pastor’s office. Bring your family and friends!
BIBLE STUDY CLASSES TO SHART IN JANUARY
January 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th are the dates for our mid-week Bible study. We will meet 1:00pm-2:00pm. Using a series on the Old Testament by Cokesbury, we will journey through the book of Genesis. Come with an open heart and mind as we experience God’s Word as seen through the eyes of our ancestors. Bring Friends!
ELCA International Disaster Response: HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
On January 12, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked the iland country of Haiti, primarily impacting Port-au-Prince. The streets are filled with people in shock and searching for loved ones among the rubble. Financial gifts are urgently needed. Your gifts to the ELCA International Disaster Response will be used entirely--100%--for immediate relief and ongoing recovery in Haiti. Your prayers and generous gifts will make a life-saving difference. Let us also continue to lift up in prayer our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

POVERTY AWARENESS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Are you familiar with Poverty? Do you know how to deal with an income that doesn't meet nees? What does the face of poverty look like? These and other questions will be answered during our time together as we study poverty. ALL are welcome to join us (no age limit).

February 28th "Our Children, Our Future"
All classes start promptly at 9:00am. February 28th will conclude with a Poverty Meal following the 10:15am Worship Service. This is hosted by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and facilitated by Partners for Wichita.
